        I have spent a career in medicine.  I began my medical career as a military corpsman dedicating more than 20 years to providing primary and emergent care, both clinical and in deployable fields, sustaining the health and well-being of the men and women serving this country.  Still today, I put those skills into action by providing care in a busy Emergency Department and continue to pursue higher education and responsibility in my field of work.  As much as I love practicing medicine, there is an issue with the healthcare system in this country, and I believe we can all agree that it needs to change.
